One evening as the priestess supplicated with humble ardour, her
prayers ascended, carried upon wings of angels and received by the
Great Master Magician. In His infinite Perspicacity, and in response to
her request, the Great Master Magician asked the priestess to go to the
novice magician and offer herself as a gift. This offering, the Great
Master Magician informed her, would fulfil her dream.
The mystical princess obeyed this strange instruction and travelled to
the apprentice magician and presented herself as a gift. The apprentice
recognised her but refused the gift, alarmed at the recognition which
triggered fear and doubt. The novice was immediately filled with
trepidation. 

The mystic princess returned to her home broken hearted
by the seemingly failed outcome of her venture. She dedicated herself
to exploring the inner secret worlds and continued in her walking.
In another part of this vast sprawling kingdom, a small caged bird
sings submissively, to draw crowds and appease its owner, a cruel
slave master that entrapped beautiful birds of prey for profit. The little
bird never knew it was an eagle so it ate poisoned seeds the slave
owner would feed him to weaken him. He trusted the lies he was told
by the slave owner and believed he was just a small weak bird. Inside
his sad heart the little bird knew he was not free and his owner did not
love him. The cold and unloving treatment of the slave master pierced
holes into the little bird’s broken unloved heart and caused him to
remain trapped in fear and bleed tears of loneliness.

The small bird spent many nights awake, regretful that he was lured
so easily by the bird trapper’s poisoned seeds and the false promises
he made. Haunted by his choice, the little bird dreamed of freedom.
Meanwhile, the bird trapper rejoiced gleefully, secretly congratulating
himself for his cunning tricks and the subsequent wealth and success
the little bird had brought to him.

The small bird continued to grow bigger, he did not have enough
space to move, his wings were being crushed and he felt trapped
inside the small cage. He had a choice. He understood if he did not
find a way to escape his slave master, he would die soon enough.
One evening as the sun slowly set, the slave master was counting the
gold coins the little bird had earned from a day of hard labour. When
the man had finally collapsed drunk on the floor as he usually did, the
little bird quickly summoned all the courage he could muster and
escaped, flying swiftly through the open door. Upon taking flight into
the air, the little bird manifested into the most majestic eagle whose
wingspan as it outstretched, almost covered the skies. The relief of
freedom beat like a joyous drum inside his heart!

The eagle flapped his wings triumphantly and circled around. He
recalled the bird trapper would drink heavily and often forgot to lock
the door. The door remained open and he could have escaped at any
time. It was only the eagle’s fear which had kept him trapped in the
cage.

The lazy, greedy and cruel bird trapper awoke later that evening to
find his only source of income had flown the nest. In his drunken rage
and despair, he met his befitting and dismal end by mistakenly
consuming a whole bag of poisoned bird seed.

The small bird transformed into an eagle when he embraced the truth
of who he really was and found the courage to fly through the open
door. The beautiful eagle who once believed it was a small timid bird
now weeps tears of ecstasy as it soars farther and higher into the
empyrean than he ever believed was imaginable.

The Metal king surveys and rules over his lands from a vantage point
of liberation and peace. A quiet joy pulsates in his renewed open heart
washed clean of his past. The metal king finally realised his
long-cherished dream of becoming a master magician when he
remembered the truth of who he was. Long ago as a young apprentice,
he remembered the gift offered to him by the mystical princess he had
refused. When the princess returned many years later, this time, he
met her with joy and gratitude. He had healed his fears, unworthiness
and upon accepting the divine gift of love, alchemised the base metal
of his soul into pure gold achieving self-mastery.

The mystic princess finally realised her dream and basked in the
warmth of the unconditional love of her divine counterpart. In healing
her soul and embodying the virtues of compassion, unconditional love
and patience, she herself became the receptacle for all that she wished
to experience and receive. Many moons later, when the Great Divine
Creator asked her to return once again to the metal king, she accepted
the task .

The apprentice, who had been a metal king, now transformed into a
master magician, carried the eagle, who once believed it was a
trapped small bird, on his shoulder. The eagle had found a loving
home in the magician’s palace where it was respected for his bravery
and beauty.

The eagle, the magician and the mystical princess continued walking
in their journey together, inspiring, uplifting and transforming the
hearts of all those they would meet.

In transmitting their divine gifts of joy, peace, wisdom, light and love
to the world, they bequeathed a legacy that lasted for all times.

The End…is never the end.
